Currently in the second phase of study and development, the Eastern Corridor Program has been divided into four core projects. Although functionally independent, these projects are interrelated and complementary to each other. The combined completion of all projects will allow our region to realize the greatest benefit from these transportation investments.

In the Eastgate area, SR 32 is a key connector between businesses, shopping and residential neighborhoods.  This area is experiencing significant growth and the Eastern Corridor Program includes multiple projects to ensure it is well-positioned to support the activity that already exists and the growth yet to come.

The Eastern Corridor’s Segments IV and IVa focus on making travel easier and safer along SR 32, from the I-275/SR 32 Interchange (Segment IV) and the Eastgate area to Olive Branch-Stonelick Road (Segment IVa). Goals are to better accommodate increasing traffic levels, reduce congestion and travel delays and improve access and safety for drivers.
