Nominations open for 2021 Business Excellence Awards

Union Township, Clermont County Ohio (November 16, 2020) – The Ohio Small Business Development Center at the Clermont Chamber of Commerce (Clermont SBDC) proudly announces the opening of nominations for the annual Small Business Excellence Awards. The 2021 awards ceremony will be held as part of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting luncheon on February 12, 2021 at Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati East from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. 

In keeping with a long-standing practice, seven awards will be presented by the Clermont SBDC and Clermont Chamber in the following categories:

Emerging Business Award – Recognizing a business for leveraging leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit that is positioned for substantial growth in the near future.

Business Excellence Award – Recognizing a business which, in a given year, has made a significant contribution to the overall good of the community through relevance, resilience and sustainability.

Excellence in Impact Award – Recognizing a business for economic impact whose activities have produced extraordinary results and for their outstanding contributions to local economy.

Emerging Leader Award – Recognizing a newer member who has already made significant contributions to the community and/or to their profession and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service.

Business Woman of the Year Award – Recognizing a woman who excels by promoting professional excellence for women, being an outstanding personal or business leader and who participates in community, civic, or other charitable organizations.

Volunteer of the Year Award – Recognizing an outstanding volunteer for their valuable and selfless commitment to innovation, dedication, building awareness, and enhancement of the efficiency of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce.

*NEW FOR 2021* Educator of the Year Award – Recognizing an outstanding educator who has made significant contributions to educational excellence and is innovative when it comes to areas of student engagement. Moreover, they comprehend the long-term benefits of using effective classroom technology to enhance student engagement and success.

Nominations must be received by December 11, 2020.
