LEAD Ready student LEADers ready to advance the high school experience

LEAD Clermont Academy “Ready” students advancing the High School experience

“How would you like to apply these leadership skills & behaviors you’ve learned to improve the high school experience for the students that will follow you?”

Though asked independently of each of the LEAD Ready classes at Milford High School, West Clermont High School, and Goshen High School, these common themes emerged across all classes.  These LEADers want to:

  • be student to student mentors to their underclassmen,
  • expand leadership programming to touch more students through a variety of means & programs,
  • help select students and be part of the next LEAD Ready program at their high school.

We are proud of the servant leadership attitude these LEADers show in their answers above. The same spirit we see during in-class discussions and the through the challenges they face.

“Servant-leaders differ from other persons of good will because they act on what they believe”  – Robert K. Greenleaf

Over the past 12-months LEAD Ready (a program of the LEAD Clermont Academy) has had the honor of working with 57 students in their respective high schools. Student LEADers participate in experiential learning activities, select ways to teach a leadership practice (often using videos, quotes, stories to make their points), and work on practical applications to put their leadership skills to good and positive use = The Promise!
