Currently Cooper/Tarvin Insurance Agency, Inc. serves the insurance needs of about 2,450 individuals and families, and the insurance needs of 475 business concerns in Clermont County and adjacent areas. Our office includes a state-of-the-art computer system for record keeping. In addition, we have a special rating computer so that instant rate comparisons can be made of the country’s finest insurance companies.
What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?
I believe the most important characteristic of a leader is integrity because people will not follow, or associate with, a leader that cannot be trusted and admired.
How do you help a new employee understand the culture of your organization?
Our agency is built on relationships developed through hard work and integrity. We make it a priority to treat those we encounter like family and show them they are valued and respected. The culture of our agency is felt from the beginning and really requires no introduction. It does not take long for employees to see the importance of our culture and put it into practice building relationships of their own. It is the value and respect we have for our employees that emphasize integrity and makes them feel like family.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I ever received was people see better than they hear so quit talking and start doing and be the man of actions, not words.
